The charity was set up in June 2011 with the aim of raising awareness of cri du chat syndrome and providing support to families with children that suffer from the condition. 70% of the income that we raise is shared between cri du chat syndrome support group, a special needs school in Welton and other groups and individuals associated with cri du chat syndrome. 12.5% of the money we raise is put towards research of the condition, and another 12.5% towards our long term project in setting up a respite care centre to provide specialist equipment, long term care and respite for families affected by cri du chat syndrome. The final 5% is put aside for administration and promotional costs. We would like to extend our gratitude to all of our members and donators for all of the help and support we have received since Harry's Fund was founded.
